Kimilili is one of the 290 elective constituencies in Kenya situated in the Bungoma County. It is also referred to as Kimilili Sub County. It is bordered by Mt. Elgon Constituency, Tongaren Constituency, Webuye East Constituency, Webuye West Constituency and Kabuchai Constituency.
The constituency covers an area of 143.6 sq. Kilometres of which 118.9 sq. km is arable mainly under subsistence agriculture with a very small percentage under tea and sugar cane which are cultivated as cash crops. The population projection of the constituency based on the 2009 census is 143,153 people comprised of 68,714 males and 74,439 females out of which 47% is under 15 years of age depicting a very high level of dependency. The population density stands at an average of 650 persons per square kilometre.
Kimilili Constituency is divided into four county wards; Kibingei, Kimilili, Maeni and Kamukuywa as shown by the Map 1.1 of Kimilili below. Administratively the constituency is divided into two divisions; Kamukuywa covering; Kamusinde, Sikhendu, Makhonge and Chesamisi locations and Kimilili which covers Kibingei, Chebukwabi, Kimilili Township and Kimilili Rural locations with a Sixteen (16) sub locations)
